Introduction
Angel Augustin, M.D. is certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Augustin specializes in treating psychiatric issues via telemedicine using psychotherapy and/or medication management.
Education
Prior to private practice, Dr. Augustin served as the resident director of diversity equity and inclusion at the University of Pennsylvania, where she completed her residency program. She also lead the cultural psychiatry certificate program during residency, in addition to obtaining additional certifications in community psychiatry and medical education. Additionally, Dr. Augustin has published research concerning interventions to improve health outcomes in African American women. She holds a Doctor of Medicine degree and a Master of Science degree in biomedical science from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Florida.
